Zippy's Tacos - Bowie

Suspicious drive thru with minimal hours ...but we've adjusted to pickup this delicious food and eat it somewhere else! We've been 3 times. I've only ordered the tacos, because they were so yummy the first time! The Cosmic ones are the best! Along with the prices!!

They were terrible, I mean terrible the worst! I have ordered from them before I've had to squeeze the grease out before I could even eat the food! To make matters worse, I was desperate for dinner it's been a long day. Those fools let the phone ring and hung up on me three times before I could even ask their specials or their hours! Do not go there, no matter what their are total rip-offs!

Great food great price and fast service...a must for breakfast on the go or lunch on the go.

Used to be my go to spot for Mexican food but no more. I. Am. Done. Go to Mi Capricho for absolutely amazing food at a good price. Mi Capricho is at least a magnitude better than Zippy 's and Spicy Mexico COMBINED. Zippy 's is constantly closed during operating hours because they have no staff willing to work for minimum wage. Out of nowhere they 'll just say the F with it and just not open for the entire day and actively blame it on people not being willing to work for less than the gas station next door pays. They tape up signs on all the windows blaming their employees instead of being an adult, stepping up, doing the work, taking responsibility, showing maturity. After all, what 's most important is advertising that they demanded other people do the work and those other people didn 't and so the customers can go away because that person we pay next to nothing to do a job that no one wants was not available to work for next to nothing so it 's obviously their fault. Posted hours are until 9pm but at 8:30pm they turn off the open sign and pretend they aren 't inside. Constantly has a sign advertising job openings for minimum wage and demanding that you be available 24/7 for any shift of sint bother applying. After 2 years the owners still haven 't realized that being abusive doesn 't promote quality work. Refuse to serve anything but egg burritos and coffee until noon. Doesn 't matter if you don 't want eggs in your burrito, they are only allowed to sell burritos with eggs until lunchtime. Apparently, apologizing for not making the food items people request everyday and telling people to eat elsewhere is a profit generation scheme. Employees go out of their way to do the absolute minimum required because the owners refuse to pay above federal minimum wage. If you eat here, you must tell the person at the window how many hot sauce cups you need. If you just specify 'hot ' or 'mild ' you will get 1 tiny cup of hot sauce per item. If you like hot sauce you will need to ask nicely as they apparently consider their unique blend of paprika, cayenne and tomato sauce to be worth its weight in gold. You must ask please exactly the number of cups because it is just too valuable. After all, someone was paid $7.50/hr to mix ketchup with cayenne and jalapeno powder together and how dare you expect to have enough to eat your meal. Great food. Shitty owners. Spend your money elsewhere. Mi Capricho and Spicy Mexico are both family owned by honest people providing a service at an honest price. There is a reason this place is a shack. That reason is the owners are motivated solely by greed. Not worth the trouble.

Worst restaurant in Bowie. Avoid at all costs. Used to spend $20-50 every week here. For 2 years, closed every time I go. Learned this is b/c owner refuses to pay minimum wage or work there. Tried for last time today, found sign taped to window saying they're closed after 4pm.
