The Village Baker Cafe - Bowen Island

The Baker is hidden a bit... turn left at THE intersection .. past the Credit Union, Beer & Wine Store, the pet food shop and Fabulous Finds....and VOILA.. there is not only the Village Baker but the SOUP FAIRY's outlet. Nothing fancy but a great place for breakfast and lunch... wonderful cinnamon buns... and Frank's Soups are the best on the island.... all take out but oh so good!

This cafe actually makes its own food! The home made soups are to die for as is the coffee. If that were not enough the pasteries are all made by the owner opperator and his staff and are light and airy and very tasty. This cafe won the prize for the best brownie in BC and if you try it you will understand why.There is a pleasant outdoor patio with a huge unbrella for those seeking shade.

Great place to start your day, they have a good selection of fresh baked goods, sandwiches, soups etc. great coffee and a sunny patio!

We decided to have breakfast at this small restaurant. The pastries were decent, but nothing spectacular. The service was very efficient and friendly.

Rather disappointing as there was hardly any selection of baked goods. For a bakery there was a very tiny show case.
