The boss puts his own to prepare the meal. But the products do not follow (the shrimp were a little bit of a peru from the port!!!!).For this Sunday of the sea party, the organization was a little overwhelmed. It'd be enough of one thing to make it a correct stopover.
Small restaurant that doesn't pay a mine, but the only comment on tripadvisor convinced us. A small room, not necessarily very clean, flies everywhere, but good, on the map, it is written that everything is fresh and that the cook cook cooks everything for the customer (no warming, frozen or otherwise) and that we appreciate it. The meal was indeed very good, the excellent sole and the succulent mussels. Unfortunately, that 3 out of 5 because:- cleanliness leaves to be desired- a fly had fallen into a beer, the waiter said it was not his fault when we asked to change it. He changed it despite everything but then he entered the final note without warning us. has the limit of the acceptable- a sole with excellent rice but where is the sauce? Just a lemon puck to tie the two, so it was pretty dry. Thankfully we asked for a piece of butter.
Arrived by chance on the gambetta dock, we were looking for lunch in a restaurant that was reputed not far from there that was closed. So we took three menus at 18,90 € and were delighted: fish soup with light rust, crusts
It was a lovely sunny day and we managed to get the last table outside for lunch. We chose from the 16.50 euro menu du jour which was great value. We had the assiette de crevettes and terrine de St Jacques et saumon for starters. For mains we both ordered the moules mariniere and the tarte normande for dessert. The food was delicious especially the moules. We had a bottle of Muscadet white wine with our meals too. We had a wonderful experience trying out the food and wine. The service was excellent too. We would eat here again next time we’re in Boulogne.
