There were 3-4 bartenders that were there working on a busy Saturday early evening we were only the 3rd couple sitting at the bar) it took them 10 minutes to greet us and another 15 minutes for someone to take our order. We spent $160 there and tipped $20…. Needless to say we will not be going back to this location. So disappointed. Food was good tho
I have been to Anderson school numerous times and have previously ordered an Uber Eats from here a few months ago. Today I wanted to pick up food on the way home after grocery shopping at Sprouts (located in the same parking lot). I attempted to call several times about 30 minutes prior to being done, and could not get through. I kept getting the busy tone, and I assumed something was wrong with their phone system. After shopping I walked across the parking lot to order my food, and upon entering there was a wait to be seated sign. Multiple employees made eye contact with me from behind the bar, but I stood for what felt like several minutes until a woman went behind the bar to make a coffee. She acknowledged me and took my order a moment later. I asked if they were aware their phones were not going through, and she let me know that they are no longer doing take-out orders unless someone places the order at the restaurant. I didn't get the specifics of what they are doing to the phones, but I got the impression/feeling they are disconnecting/ leaving the phone off the hook so that people can no longer call. This was really frustrating, I am disappointed. Also, I know I didn't order a drink, but I was there during happy hour and had to wait 15 minutes for the food to be cooked since I was not allowed to place it ahead of time. I wish they would have given me the happy hour price since both things were on the happy hour menu, and it was happy hour.
The food itself is good, but I recommend only dining in. To-go orders is not this restaurant's forte. My t-n-t basket was missing both the peppercorn ranch and the buttermilk coleslaw. When you're already paying inflated prices for delivery, it's extra frustrating when there are items missing from your order.
I am officially a McMenamins sign that I had so much fun for my birthday at Anderson School that I had to watch the Mill Creek Pub on my way home from work. It is a small bastion of the McMenamins empire with more beers than I can drink safely in a session, as well as a very friendly waiting staff. I can stay home here on the way from work soon
McMenamin's roots are in British and Irish Ales, and some like Terminator are perfection while they have the brand light raspberry Ruby Ale and Purple Haze Boysenberry fruit beer, but they are certainly trending to American NW styles. The Mill Creek Brewery is making strikes about its IPA and its takeover of Belgian styles. This place is not the best atmosphere from outside at first sight, but the interior is nice McMenamins with the large old carved wooden bar and many of the servers are excellent! The food is great on a warm, sunny day in the afternoon. But even the early/last happy hours are very valuable and really sitting outside is the secret al fresco spot in Mill Creek. Looks like in 2022 chances are good, McMenamin's Mill Creek is going to hit her again. Note McMenamins due to the pandemic had tons of sales and reduced staff like 60% I read so we need to be patient due to this •̀ᴗ و ̑̑
