Upon entering the restaurant, you'll find a charming and cozy atmosphere that evokes memories of the dining spots I frequented during my time in Italy. They make the most of their small space...
This is a solid 3.5-star spot in the North End. Overall, the food was decent. My wife ordered the cod risotto, and I opted for the spaghetti Frutti di Mare. The risotto...
The outside dining has really added to the atmosphere in the North End. Pellino’s like many of the other Italian eateries is quaint and has a neighborhood feel. The owner came out and spoke to me like I was just stopping by for dinner. The butternut squash ravioli was stuffed with enough filling you could taste it which I appreciated. The sauce was sweet which may not be to everyone’s liking. Bread was decent with the olive oil. Overall no complaints, a nice meal.
Wow, these guys can cook. The clam appetiser was good, and so was the baked cod entree. Only complaint is limited selection of wine by glass. Not the best Tiramisu I've tried anywhere. I came in for lunch before 2pm on Sunday and noticed there was only 1 table. I went in as I didn't want to wait in line at neighbouring Italian restaurants. Also, I thought their decor is pretty good and cozy. As it turned out, I learnt the service of the Italian waiters are bad. I think they have people problem issue; that's why their competitors are doing so well. Also, they don't give proper receipt. It could have been so much better without these negatives, really. What a shame.
