Forest City Fish Camp - Bostic

Growing up in the big cities of Southern California and along the coast where you'll find some of the best and most expensive seafood restaurants where the actors in Hollywood dine, Forest City Fish Camp in the little, out of the way town in Bostic, NC is among THE VERY BEST seafood restaurants anywhere in the United States. The fried shrimp with baked potato and hushpuppies is the best! There are so very few really amazing restaurants in this small town, and this is one of them. All the locals agree. The place is always bustling with business, and no one ever leaves hungry or disappointed.

The best meal we have had in a long time! My husband had the flounder and I had the hamburger steak. Both meals were perfect. We are from Charleston, SC and stop by whenever we are close by. The owner and his daughter were friendly and made us feel welcome. We will be back!

Definitely not recommended. Too pricey for food that just doesn't make the mark. Also, wait staff not even once checked on us but repeatedly checked on a couple who came in after us. Must be a clickish thing but nevertheless, food was terrible. Thanks, but NO Thanks!!

I am always running in at the last minute before closing ! And as always food was hot and correct! Plenty to eat and share!

I went to Forest City Fish Camp for dinner last night, and I ordered a large perch plate with oysters. I was disappointed to receive only 4 small pieces of fish and 6 oysters for an additional $3.00. I ended up paying $38.00 for the smallest plate of food I have ever seen. I recommend being cautious as you may not get your money's worth here. If you are looking for generous portions and a satisfying meal, I suggest trying Kelly's Fish Camp instead. My wife ordered the popcorn shrimp and found it to be a decent portion for her, but overall, we were not impressed with our experience at Forest City Fish Camp. It felt like a ripoff and we will not be returning.
