Nickys Mexican - Bossier City

Although the customer service was excellent, the food was quite disappointing. It lacked flavor and seemed to have little to no seasoning. We encountered a strange mix of overcooked, dry meat paired with undercooked Poblano peppers. I was genuinely surprised, as we've often dined at Nicky's and enjoyed the meals.

I’m giving this place 2 stars because the hostess was friendly, the restaurant seemed clean, and the chips and salsa were tasty. However, we waited over 10 minutes without being served drinks or receiving any attention from the waitstaff. We asked for a waiter but were passed around among several without getting drinks or refills on our chips. Ultimately, we decided to leave. I won’t be coming back.

"I would recommend bringing cash if you decide to dine here, as management charges customers a 4% processing fee on the total bill. The happy hour experience is less enjoyable, as drinks are served in Styrofoam cups. Margaritas are priced at $13 and, unfortunately, also come in Styrofoam. The food is average, and the portion sizes are small. For better food and prices, consider Cantina Laredo instead. On a positive note, the service was quite good."

My impression about Mexican restaurants in the south is more authentic, but Nickys has proved it wrong. The food was very good compared to other Mexixan restaurants I had. It may be the vegetarian enchilada I have. I had no bad experience. I stayed over this restaurant, so it was very convenient to go to this place on a big weather. But her dessert loved her. In town in business, place was right across from our hotel, in walking distance so figured why not give it a shot. Glad we did. Great place to grab dinner, laid back atmosphere. Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice bar, even had a live band the night we stopped in. If definitely eat here again if back in the area.
