Galito - Borgarnes

Food was ok/average. We ordered the soup, which arrived in a rather small portion without bread. The main courses were ok, but a bit pricey.

Nice restaurant with a lot of dishes that were proposed and served very fast. However the salad that we ordered was very particular, the cook had put an entire salad none peeled. The service can be also improved as we needed to constantly go to the bar to ask water for new (the waiters didn’t give a lot of attention to our table)

We stopped for lunch a few weeks ago. There were only two other couples in the entire restaurant surrounded by dirty tables and a floor that desperately needed to be swept. We should have turned around at this point! The young server asked us to wait while she picked up the dishes and brushed the crumbs off a table. We sat down and were given sticky menus at a sticky table. Our food didn't take long but both of us were served cold meals that had obviously been refrigerated and reheated (likely from the day before) and the overall quality was pretty poor for the price. The fries were well seasoned, hot and fresh. While we were eating I watched two servers work on cleaning and resetting tables, lazily just brushing crumbs onto chairs and the floor. The place was honestly quite filthy, including the restrooms which we visited on our way out. Our food had some good flavor and possibly had potential if it would have been prepared fresh. However I don't plan on coming back to find out.

The restaurant offers a great selection of dishes. We had the vegetarian pesto pasta, the kids pasta and prawn wrap. All the items were delicious.

Me and my girlfriend were at Galito and we took the Hamburger (bearnaise and jalapeno). It was really tasty and warm, even the fries were crunchy and good. They gaved us the icelandic water like a welcome. We reccomend to eat there.
