フィードバックを提供するA very earthy sort of place up the top of the street past the Police Station. It is really very charming, open and airy. But the worst coffee I've ever had. Order a freshly made juice or anything else.
Really good food, and great setting. Good atmosphere. A place to revisit for breakfast. An experience to look forward to in the near future.
We visited Green Kitchen on Mother's Day (Sunday) around 2pm and it appeared to have a steady stream of customers.Firstly, the settings are beautiful - a converted garage with a welcoming, earthy vibe. The back of the restaurant overlooks the garden where some of the produce used in the kitchen is grown. The menu contained a few vegan options, including a vegetable curry, chia bowl and salads/wraps. However, the menu seemed overpriced for the kind of grub they were serving up.I was excited to order the homemade lentil patty with a salad of the day (roast vegetable), which the menu stated was vegan. I was pretty disappointed when my food arrived covered in yoghurt (dairy). After scraping that away, the salad wasn't bad, the patty was okay and the tomato relish on the side was pretty average. My better half had ordered eggs florentine, which he said wasn't exciting - also, the eggs (poached) were over cooked and quite hard. Additionally, the waiter we had was very confusing. I guessed that he was trying to be amusing, by bringing us our food and drinks but describing them as differently to what we had ordered (no, I didn't order a double decaf mocha with no milk...!). Quite annoying rather than funny. Overall, we found Green Kitchen to be average at best, and unjustifiably overpriced.
Just at the western end of the commercial main street of Maleny, past the police station, this place is worth the little extra walk to find good healthy, local and yummy food. We have eaten here many times for breakfast and lunch.
Tucked away at the edge of the main shopping centre, this converted garage retains much of its rustic, spacious ambience. There are delightful views from the rear windows, over the terraced gardens where some of the salads etc. are grown. Our family group called in for a late lunch, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - producing several plates of avocados for two ravenous toddlers. Highly recommended.
