Pumpernickel's - BOLTON LANDING

Excellent quality German food and definitely plentiful portions. We ordered a sample plate as the main course and we had enough meat for two lunches. The desserts were amazing and generous portions we share. Beautiful interior and exterior decor was also available. Great place for the family together. We were on vacation in Lake George and the culinary experience set a nice touch on our overall experience.

Great food, great atmosphere, and hands down the best waitress I've ever had (Diana). She was extremely knowledgeable and as excited as we were about all the food we were about to eat. We stopped in planning on getting a drink and an appetizer and stayed for a huge dinner and the biggest beer I've ever had. Very enthusiastic service that was helpful and not pushy at all. Would strongly recommend venturing the few minutes farther from lake George village to check this place out!

Nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, and authentic German food. Love, love, love the salad bar – unique assortment of German salads, and everything very fresh. Our entrees were quite good, but make sure you’re willing (and hungry! enough to order them. There aren’t any “cheaper” meal options available. It was our first day of vacation, and I got sticker shock when I opened the menu. (Portions are quite large, so price is not necessarily unreasonable, just something to be aware of.

This is an excellent authentic German restaurant that offers a great selection of classic German entrees and attentive and friendly service. It received my father-in-law 's stamp of approval , whose parents both were born in Germany. The prices are in the high range but reasonable for the large portions they serve and the meals do include a nice free salad bar with a good selection including two soups of the day. Nice selection of traditional well known German draft beers. I was impressed enough to seek out the owner to personally thank him for providing such an excellent dining experience.

The mayor platter that serves 2 can easily serve 4. Good German food.
