Perla Negra Mariscos - Bolingbrook

Our open table reservation never went through. they said they don't use open table anymore. take them better from your list. we were lucky to get in.

$27 for a striped steak and not much more than a bullet glass size of rice and be drilling. $11 for a drink that was 80% ice, while the items were tasty, I felt it too expensive. try it out and judge yourself.

This was our first visit to perla negra, and it will not be our last. if they are looking for Mexican food that is out of the beaten away, this place is great. absolutely wonderful seafood dishes and no “normal” tacos and burritos. seafood were obviously fresh, and the cocktails that we had ordered, as if they were made with real juice and without mixes. everything was very realistic. our server was friendly and accommodating, and eating came super fast to the table. the atmosphere was more casual than we expected, but nothing wrong with it. our only complicity is that the music level was a bit high, so it was difficult to talk. In summary, the food and the drinks was delicious and unique, the service was great, and we will come back.

Have tried to dinate here as they open on the 1st, on the height of the pandemic. I am so glad that they have survived this challenge! more open and spacious escaping in unpretentious environment - great acoustic treatment made the conversation easy while we enjoyed the inconspicuous background music. on Friday night. the mezcal margarita was a perfect start. a well-stocked bar always a good sign! the huge appetizer coctel de camarron y pulpo (shrimp and octopus very colorful and delicious. my gast had a plentiful offer of pasta laperla- tasty seafood with garnel and mush. my dust asado was perfectly grilled - the nayarit seasoned added wonderful aromas and scents without overwhelming heat. (plenty of pfeffer sauces easily accessible to those who want to pamper the scovilles. we were there early - so many available tables - but had to go without the small band just arriving. will certainly return to discover the live music!

Food was ok but overpriced for what you get. Fajitas didn't even come with cheese or sour cream yet still cost $30
