フィードバックを提供するI don't know what it was yesterday because I always enjoyed eating and service here, but yesterday the service was slow. I noticed that they now have many younger employees. my eating was not as hot as it should be. the rice was hard or old, they forgot my side-tac, so I just canceled it because I like to put all the food together and my dinner was already cold, so I didn't want to wait. they usually have hot salsa, but for some reason my waitress said they had no. They don't have children's-size drinks, so my children naturally had a hard time to drink from the big adult cups with the lid on them and to spill the drinks on themselves. I asked for an additional plate to split up my children's meal and got two plates with water that were dripping from them when they just came out of the wash basin and a plate had still food on it. the service was extremely slow. it was not a good experience yesterday.
I was here a few times and I was in order. Eat is delicious. went the other night and the host went to the table, put our menus down and went away without a word. it was unpleasant. we have ordered our food and guacamole. the guacamole arrived after our meal, and after that please ask for it twice more. our waitress was not attentive in leasing, and it was not busy. my food was too hot. when they were asked how I was honest and they said they could give it back. for a fee of 2.00. I rejected the offer. the management came out and said they'd get it back. I had a three-Tac dinner. they have made two of them new when only three bites of the third were missing, and the appeal was added to my bill.
To our dismay, we learned that the manager had never come back to check on us or address the situation. It was clear that the management needs serious improvement. Even if you're looking for a place to eat Mexican food, I'd advise you to steer clear of this one. The food was disappointing as well; I would recommend going anywhere else—even Taco Bell would be a better option.
Absolutely terrible service and food as well. To add insult to injury, today is Mother's day and we had hoped to enjoy an authentic Mexican dinner experience. Nothing authentic about the food at all unfortunately. This is the first restaurant, since moving to IL 4 years ago, that charges an 18 service fee for a family of 5! The industry standard, I'm told, is 18 for at least 8 or more, so this was a bit suspect. Especially when the service fee notification is written on the back of the 6 8 page menu in the lower left corner instead of on the front easily visible to patrons and should also be mentioned by the server at the start of the visit. We will not ever return.
We came because we were given a gift certificate. First we were greeted with the hostess saying, “we don’t have any tables but you can sit at the bar.” No, offer to take our names for the next available table. So we ordered a regular margarita and the margarita with the corona in it. There went the 25 gift certificate. One taste of the margarita and it was so sour, that I didn’t want to drink it but at over 12, I was going to finish it. The bartender kept coming and asking if everything was alright. They have their margarita mix premixed so there is no changing that so we just said okay. The chips and salsa were not great either. I like a chunky salsa and it was more like a hot sauce salsa. So we decided to try the nachos and the meat was soaked in water, which was at the bottom of our plate. The chips on the bottom were wet from the water and the ground beef was not seasoned at all. We decided that we had had enough. So for two margaritas and a shared nachos, we came out of there for 43 before tip! Not worth it! All the while the bartender kept asking if it was okay? I think they know it is not! The bartender was also making drinks right above the condiments, very strange that they would not have a place away from other prep areas to make the drinks.
