フィードバックを提供するReturned to The Creek after several years. The service is always top notch. We started with two side Caesers (not on the menu) which were nice, but pretty average. For our main we ordered the Veal Cordon Bleu. The portion was huge (advertised as 14 ounces but was two chops) and quite frankly it looked rather gross on the plate. Taste was ok, but certainly not even close to a real cordon bleu service. The other dish was the Snapper A La Creek, which was served in a plate dripping with oil and butter, and the edges were overcooked. The issue with the food is that it is priced for a premium product, and I expect a premium product. I know they are trying, but at least on this night the kitchen was a little off.
Shout out to our server Gerardo! He never failed on checking our food and drinks. He was genuinely happy to serve and added to the lovely atmosphere. Perfect night to be outside with my friend! A reunion with yummy appetizers. We had the Brie and crab cakes and Paloma’s to catch up. The nature outside felt like we were home having a nice dinner, great company, great restaurant. The restroom was clean, free parking!
The Creek is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. We live in Cedar Park, Texas and we will drive to The Creek for special occasions, even though it is 119 miles away. We love sitting at a bay window table so we can watch the geese and the river. The service is impeccable. The food is excellent. The last time we were there they had a musician singing old favorites while playing the guitar. If you get a chance, dine at The Creek!
It was a delight to host a friend I hadn't seen in six years at the creek the Maitre D was so accommodating with changing the table that my guest preferred the food and the staff -more than excellent and it was such a delightful, peaceful, joyous time thank you very much
You can see Chef Jean Tardiff 's talented hands all over the newly revamped menu. As longtime Boerne residents, we had previously written off The Creek as an overpriced, underwhelming effort and had not been there in some time. Last night 's experience will change that! Many of the same great entrees from Tardiff 's are on the menu here with slight twists, along with additional fish dishes and even a couple of pasta dishes. Everything, from the Red Snapper to the Chateaubriand entree (slightly smaller here, but equally great) was exactly what we 'd expect from Jean Tardiff. Which is to say, easily the best fine dining in Boerne. The menu is (smartly) more limited which probably takes advantage of local talent pool. We perused the lunch menu which also looks very attractive and will have to check that out soon. Sure, the Victorian decor and fake plants on the table could use some updating, but tablecloths and overall presentation are nice. The live guitarist, while good, was also a tad loud and an old Boerne throwback which seems out of place now. Service was good--competent and pleasant, but not up to the standards you 'd see at the sister restaurant, Tardiff 's American Brasserie in Dominion. Given the operating environment, these are likely more related to the co-operative effort with the property owner and staffing limitations we face in Boerne. However, the very well curated and priced wine list and more moderate food pricing make up for it. The Creek is now a solid value and one of the best options available locally. Overall, we are pleased to be able to patronize a restaurant that is now much improved and worth the money. It certainly won 't replace the original Tardiff 's for us, but it 's great to have another option for fine dining in Boerne...WELL DONE!!!
