El Rio Mexican - Boerne

Great food, great service, genuine Mexican cuisine prepared as it should be. The fried beans are fantastic, the rice is the best I had in some time, the taco was tasty, but not with an overwhelming amount of spices, the flavors therein were perfect. Wonderful food at a good price, you will be satisfied with this Tex sex.

This place is amazing. We had the fiesta fejitas sooo good chicken steak shrimps onion sweet pepper carrots zucchini and yellow squash all grilled sizzling on plater with rice beans guacamole pico

My primary evaluating factor of a Tex-Mex restaurant is their cheese enchiladas. El Rio’s are as good as anyone; they’ve got a lot of other great dishes, too. Long-time owners and legit chips as well as red and green sauce. Been going here for about 25 years since I was a kid growing up in Boerne.

We are a family of 11. This owner and his wife went out of their way to make it work for us at a round table. Just so friendly and helpful. My food was just perfect. Our family will make this a regular event location since we gather from San Antonio, Schertz, Fredericksburg and Kerrville. We look forward to our next gathering with these helpful owners.
