Cookabarra Restaurant and Function Centre

What a wonderful experience. Great food and great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Definitely would Highly recommend

The cuisine at Cookabarra is not but the fish is absolutely delicious. And why wouldn’t it be they’re farmed on site. Straight from the pond (not tank) to the skillet, then onto your plate; you can’t get any fresher than that. If you...have time go on the tour and You’ll learn about fish lifecycle and behaviour, farm economics, sustainable acqua-farming practices and much, much more. They’ve even got hydroponic veggies. Totally worth it.

We called up on a Tuesday and although they aren’t normally open on Monday or Tuesday, they said we could come for lunch as they had a tour group in. So it’s worth calling up even if they are closed that day just in case!...Barramundi was delicious and the service couldn’t have been more friendly. They took us in to see the pet barramundi in the tanks which our baby loved. Gluten free options and a good kids menu too.

This hidden gem was recommended by a friend and so glad we listened! It was a hot day but the balcony was cool with a great breeze. The food was incredible and the service was friendly and attentive. Do yourself a favour and head here...if you’re in the area

The food is okay, but service is poor .. Not that impressed when noone attended to us for a while, seems they lack of staff although there are not that many visitors. A bit disappointed as I expect more from our visit.
