Angelo's Pizzeria - Boalsburg

The pizza is the worst thing I ever had, I don't know if they hired new chefs or what, but it's not as it was earlier. the cold subs are 1/2 decent, but not worth it or the trip there are much more places that are local and closer to state college, which are 100% better like brother pizza I never eat or recommend this facility to everyone. ever! especially if they order out. I would advise to consider eating. when they eat in them, they take a little more pride in the compilation of their meals and taste better. my opinion is, stay away not worth the drive above all with the kind as gas pric0es are! they save their money and go to mcdonald’s directly on the road or spend a little more money and get them great eating made with care, that looks and tastes even better out duffys or the tavern that is in boalsburg.

I used to frequent Angelo's in the early 2000s, but then I moved away. I was pleased to see that they have renovated and it looks amazing! I have been back twice now and both times were fantastic. The pasta with meat sauce was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the freshly baked garlic knots and sub roll. When we came with a large group the second time, the service was excellent. I was impressed that all our food came out hot, even with a big group. Kudos to the chef and server! Despite it being a bit out of the way, I will make the effort to come here instead of other pizza places in the area.

We have been loyal patrons of Angelo's for years, but our recent experiences have been disappointing. A month ago, we ordered a baptism and they forgot to include the pizza slices we had paid for. They offered a credit, but one of our colleagues had to go without lunch that day. Despite this, we decided to give them another chance today. They did honor the credit from our last order, but my sub came with sweet red paprika even though I had requested for it to be left out. Additionally, my sub had tomato and wobble even though I never asked for them to be removed. They also tried to charge me extra for "extra cheese" that I didn't request. Another colleague who had previously missed lunch ordered an Italian wedge, but it only had a piece of ham and no other meat. We also received a random roll and dressing container with our order. It's unfortunate to see such a once fantastic place decline in quality.

I don't like tomatoes, so I requested a chicken cheesesteak sandwich without tomatoes from the server. I specifically asked for black olives, steak, cheese, and mayonnaise only. However, the server brought out a cheesesteak sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, but no black olives. When I tried to point out the mistake, she argued that I hadn't said no black olives.

Pizza just not good. Toppings not spread out to the edge. About 4 inches of untopped crust to the edge. Seemed like canned mushrooms. Now we know
