Ça Va - Blue Summit

Great little place! I love that they have a few non-alcoholic drink options. Every time I've been here it's been fairly quiet, and I don't understand why there aren't more people here! Great atmosphere for hanging out and chatting with friends, and the staff is SO friendly and will take time to chat and joke around with you.

My friend and I are only in Kansas City for two nights so we decided to check out Cą Va on a Friday evening. First of all, I had called earlier in the evening to check about reservations and no picked up at first and I figured no biggie, it's Friday night, I'll call back in a few minutes. Instead, just a couple minutes later, the owner, Howard, *called me back*! He was so sweet on the phone and I was so stunned to have a restaurant/bar call me back, I was immediately enamored with them. Once there, my friend and I ordered the pecan pie (both of us did), the fries (also both), I got the squash apple soup everything was delicious, well made, and paired perfectly with my French 75 cocktail. Our server, Ella, was an absolute delight, too. I didn't take pictures of the food or drinks so you'll just have to trust me!!

This was a great place to have some food and drinks! Service was great, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Great for a low-key night out in Kansas City!

Adorable European atmosphere with reasonably priced food and unique champagne/wine/cocktails. Highly recommend!

Update!!!!: now owned and operated by an abusive, shady person. Do not recommend!!!!! The former amazing GM is opening a restaurant in Paris this year. ‐ This is my favorite lil fancy spot and a true midtown, heck, city gem. I love that one can have an incredibly fancy meal with dazzling wines and oysters and the whole bit. But, what I love more is that they have Miller Highlife on tap AND Prosecco. Their sandwiches, quiche and pastries are on point and oh lord, the fries. The staff here is consistently knowledgeable and friendly. Caitlin, the GM and her entire staff put guest safety at a high priority and don't tolerate any creep behavior so that's a huge plus. They have live music every Thursday night and it's consistently an excellent place for a date or intimate night w. friends. Oh right, their brunch is also so great! There are many places in KC to stuff yourself on biscuits and gravy, so this is such a refreshing menu. Beautiful pastries, quiche, salads and other fare that will leave you satisfied but able to seize the day!
