Chicago Pastry - Bloomingdale

Once I arrived, it took a little time to settle in. The lobster roll was, in my opinion, the standout dish; it was crunchy, and the creamy filling was so delicious that I could have eaten a whole bowl of it! The harvest cookie and the double chocolate cookie also had a rich chocolate flavor that was absolutely fantastic. I live in Des Plaines, so it would be a bit of a drive, but I would definitely make the trip just for the baked goods! Absolutely wonderful!

I like to buy pastries and dossiers. Last came and tried Raspberry Dossant, who was a disappointing one. It was filled with raspberry gel. I would still get the cannoli, cream, Nutella.

I wanted to ask if they could put a few things on my side, as we're going an hour to get there and told by Amanda in a rather rude tone, no. They said no was against their normal service as we have gone to this place for some time (and now, since we have moved, we drive far away), but the evil demon was not appreciated. We will not come back on this experience.

I came across some great reviews and decided to visit this bakery. I mentioned that someone I know enjoys tiramisu, and the cashier offered me a frozen pastry tray from the freezer. Even though I knew it was frozen, we went ahead and cut the cake, which ended up tasting terrible and was as hard as a rock. I asked twice about getting another cake that was on display, but it seemed like she wanted to sell the older stock first. I also purchased some cookies, but they didn’t taste good either. I won’t be returning.

This was our first visit, and we decided to try a couple of paczki. We've been searching for good paczki in this area and found one decent option last year, so we thought we’d give this place a shot. I'm so glad we did! The paczki are absolutely delicious! We also tried a sugar cookie, and it was fantastic as well. We will definitely be coming back!
