Big Bad Breakfast - Birmingham

The food and coffee drinks were excellent! They were incredibly flavorful. I was excited to try tomato gravy for the first time. The service was outstanding and very attentive. There was a bit of a wait, but I don't mind waiting for high-quality food and service.

We were just spending the weekend in Birmingham and I found this place online. The food was amazing and the staff was awesome as well. We loved it so much the first morning that we stopped by again the next morning on our way back home to Georgia. Parking is a little difficult but I would still highly recommend giving it a try.

The restaurant features a spacious, covered patio and a bright interior filled with natural light. The long counter, along with ample wooden accents and playful decor, creates a cozy and unique atmosphere. While it has 13 locations in the South, the friendly staff truly provide a local feel. I enjoyed the My Yard Work skillet, and pairing it with a pancake made for a large and satisfying lunch. They were quick to suggest vegetarian options and kept our water and coffee filled promptly. Prices are more affordable compared to other upscale breakfast chains. It could easily be a five-star experience if the menu were clearer and included icons to indicate ingredients that might affect dietary needs or preferences.

Delicious! I know it's simple, but, when I see Bruleed Grapefruit on a menu, I ALWAYS get it. You just don't see it at many restaurants anymore. Got the Mother of all Biscuits, a Vanilla Latte. My boyfriend got the Shrimp Grits. Our server, Carla, was an absolute delight. Overworked, for sure, this girl had a BUSY morning, but, was still on point with everything! She was AMAZING! Food was filling she even fixed a Decaf to go for my boyfriend. Definitely will be back!

Sidney is fantastic! I absolutely love the BBB! They serve the best Bloody Mary I've ever had, made with their homemade mix! The burger is excellent and my go-to choice. The skillets are amazing too. You can't go wrong with the cat head biscuits!
