Pomegranate Cottage Coffee Shop

We visited here with our daughter and grandchildren after visiting The Birdwood Motor Museum. Housed in an old cottage and seemed quite popular. We would definitely not return here. We did not enjoy the food. My daughter had chicken tenders, salad and chips. She did not expect to be formed, crumbed pre-cooked chicken most likely purchased from a a supermarket and just heated up. The chunky pie was average. The toasted egg and bacon sandwich was only just lukewarm and the toast soggy. We were in the back room and it was a bit smoky from the kitchen from down the hallway. We left disappointed.

Pretty courtyard with fountain & 100 year old pomegranate tree! Friendly service & hot apple pie with cream & ice cream a must have. The blueberry & almond tart was yummy also. Log fire inside for those chilly days but luckily we had a beautiful winter afternoon sun to sit in out front in the courtyard area. Perfect spot to have afternoon tea after visiting the Birdwood Motor Museum which is directly across the road.

The cafe overall is pretty nice and it has a nice atmosphere. The coffees are reasonably nice however we had to wait a little bit. I personally found the fountain a little bit disturbing as it was bright blue. 3 Stars Overall.

My hubby loved his big breaky that he shared with bubs :) both were satisfied... i had an egg and bacon sanga which was nice but thick cut crusty bread would have made it loads better... tried too revisit a few weeks later for breakfast but was too late in the morning.... an all day breakfast is a great idea! Cant wait too come back :)

Beautiful food, very friendly staff and so relaxing sitting out the front under the tree listening to the water fountain. Will definately visit again.
