Turtle Jack's Muskoka Grill - BINBROOK

Recently enjoyed a delicious meal at this location. And the service was amazing! You can always count on a good meal in a relaxing atmosphere.

Sever was great food was ok. Until it came time for desert. When I opened the menu it was full of black mold and the waitress took it away brought a different menu and laughed about it. I do not give this place a clean bill and will never return

Last visit was the worst ever. Food was poor quality, cold etc but the service was even more pathetic! Our bar server had friends that she seemed to look after more than anyone else. She spoke poorly to us and had no class at all. For example, asking "Yah want drinks" is pretty sad. Or when we asked for a container to bring home some of the edible food, she at one point had the food container up under her bare arm, near her arm pit...disgusting! then when she got to the table, she tossed it to us. When clearing the table she knocked stuff into my wife's lap but didn't apologize. When we were waiting and waiting to pay, she stopped with the credit card machine for a lengthy chat with co worker and eventually came to our table. I had never done this before but I tipped her one cent. I wish we knew the schedule of staff there because the small brunette bar waitress who has been there for years is worth her weight in gold but our "waitress " an Asian girl, has no class or professionalism. Very sad actually. There are several poor reviews of the service and I'm not surprised. Don't think we will be back TJs.

It's an good thing the food is delicious. Because the rest was not very impressive at all. 1). Bad hostess. She was not pleasant. Did not greet us nicely. She peered over her shoulder from a distance and just said "2?" Then we guessed that we were to follow her. Put stuff on a table and pranced away. (Brutal). When we walked by her leaving. "Nothing". No thanks, or have a good night or anything. 2). Second drink took forever. My food was there and I had no drink. 3). Our dirty dishes were never collected. 4). Never mentioned any food or drink specials. So the waitress was nice and pleasant. But could be better at her job. The fish tacos were great as usual and so was the French onion burger.

My husband and I decided to do a movie and dinner and thought we'd stop in at this Turtle Jacks because they have fajitas for him and one of my favourite dishes (blackened basa with lobster mashed potatoes).The food was just as we like it and actually the lobster mash was much better than other Turtle Jacks locations we've been to with large pieces of lobster!The only down side which marred our otherwise lovely dinner was our server. He was friendly enough at first but then a couple arrived and were seated in a booth diagonally across from ours. He clearly knew them because he stopped at their table to have a chat. No issue at all at first. When he brought our food he sort of slid it in front of us without saying a word and then jetted away quickly from the table. He did stop by once to see how our meal was and we told him it was great. He never came back to see if we needed drink refills.A little while later he went and sat down in the booth with the other couple, chatting away. We finished our meal and were ready for the bill and to head out to catch our movie but he was then standing at their booth with his back to us and his other customers. He didn't turn around so I couldn't flag him over to request the bill. He kept chatting away while our dirty dishes sat in front of us. We waited quite a while before the hostess happened to walk by and my husband asked her if she could ask our server to get us our bill. She went over to the table and interrupted his chat to let him know we wanted our bill. He finally wound down his conversation to go get our bill. When he returned with it to us he didn't say two words, he merely put the bill on the table and handed me the debit machine. He didn't even offer the slimmest of apologies for making us wait, in fact, he seemed snippy and short with us.Everyone else at this location has always been very friendly, this is the first time we've had an issue with the server. I have no issue if someone comes in that our server knows and they chit chat a little; but outright ignoring us is unacceptable.
