フィードバックを提供するThe atmosphere at Sierra Mar is incredibly romantic and serene, surrounded by the peacefulness of the forest and the ocean. The staff is very friendly, and the food is excellent. I rated the food slightly lower because there were a few dishes that didn't stand out to me, but that is really just a matter of personal taste. They offer a prix fixe 4-course meal (priced at $145 when we visited) with several options for each course. We had a lovely table and enjoyed the sunset, and when we stepped outside after our meal, we were amazed to see the Milky Way overhead. We decided to extend our stay in Carmel and went to the restaurant, which was about a 50-minute drive and offered a beautiful scenic route. They provide free valet parking (no self-parking available). Overall, I would highly recommend it for special occasions or just a romantic evening out.
This was possibly the best meal we’ve ever had. Every bite of the food was exquisite. The service was truly exceptional, and the view was exactly what we had hoped for—a beautiful backdrop to enjoy our wonderful five-course dinner while watching the sunset. We felt incredibly pampered. Thank you!
I visited this restaurant for lunch and it was $75 per person. The meal included fresh bread, a wide variety of dips, salad, and a choice between duck or vegan options like burgers and silken tofu prepared like cod. For dessert, there were delightful bite-sized treats to satisfy any sweet tooth. I recommend making a reservation in advance and arriving early to enjoy a stroll through the forest leading to the restaurant, which is perched on the cliff. There's valet parking available, as well as self-parking options. The food was absolutely delicious; in fact, I had to bring some leftovers home for dinner because the portion sizes were generous. And let's not forget the breathtaking views of Big Sur!
When I came all the way from South East Australia, I decided during this visit to Big Sur that it was high time I splashed on a meal in Sierra Mar after I had driven several times hard. Despite the extravagant costs, everyone in my party of 4 left feeling, it was definitely money well spent, an absolutely unforgettable culinary experience experienced. Beginning with the beauty of the environment, looking over the unique love of the Big Sur coast, observe the fog roll in and the sun go down. Then the service ultra professional, warm not sniffing, thoughtful and attentive. And the food. A four course fixed price with additional extras if you have a few hundred extra for caviar (not us! With each court excellently composed and delightful. I want to go in too much detail some pictures below show the perfect sourdough bread (I do this myself so that I know what I'm talking here! , a beef onion of grass grown in Oregon, local products and the best IPA we? ve je tasted. Then the chocolate and pear dessert may be the best dessert I've ever had. I don't know if I can ever handle this, but I'm gonna blow my pennies off for our next trip.
Absolutely stunning view three stories up in a tree house restaurant with glass walls over the cliff of the pacific. Beautiful for a sunset dinner. Staff is extremely professional, and attentive. Food was mouth watering. Thank you!
