Popa Jim's Pizza - BIG PINE KEY

The new owners of the previously established pizza shop have taken over, and I decided to give them a try since I was a big fan of the former owners and their food. I was delighted with my Buffalo Chicken pizza, which I ordered well done. However, placing my order was more challenging than it should have been, as it felt like phone orders were discouraged. I appreciated the takeout-only option, but I think the phone number should be clearly displayed along with their hours of operation. I will certainly explore their other menu items in the near future.

They are never open, the food quality is constantly changing and nothing is consistent

I am in Big Pine visiting my parents. They insisted on ordering from The Island Pizza Company because the previous owners (when it was called Papa Jim's) had great pizza. We ordered an extra large with pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, and green peppers and some buffalo tenders because they were out of chicken wings. I have to say, it was the least flavorful fresh pizza I have ever had. Ketchup has better flavor than their sauce. My parents were really disappointed and hope they go back to the Papa Jim's recipe. I was just overall unimpressed. I guess we are going back to No Name Pub next time we visit.

Wish I could say the review was based on their food but the inability to call an order in has prevented me from trying their food. The message is rude, and online ordering is a pain. Good luck with your system, I will not be trying again.
