フィードバックを提供するWe arrived without a reservation on a Saturday lunchtime in July. Once we saw the beautiful relaxed outdoor setting overlooking the mountains we fell in love with the place.Needless to say they were fully booked and initially said it was impossible to fit us in but then they very graciously and kindly said we could have a table outside. We are so glad that they did. The setting is sublime, in an old church with no signage outside to say it's a restaurant, surrounded by open countryside and mountains yet a very short drive from Besalu. There is no menu, the chef came out and described about 10 starters and suggested we choose 4 for the 3 of us to share. We then chose a main each from his description. The fish croquets with squid and squid ink were perfect, mussels were tender and tasty, goats cheese salad fresh and crisp. Paella was as it should be and caramelised round the edges, the grilled meat dish included rabbit, lamb and chicken and was succulent. Desserts including a cheesecake and a tartetartin were delicious. We had water, local craft beer and local wine and bread, all included in the reasonable fixed price. The chef, Joan Quadrant is skilled and passionate about the local produce he is cooking. The 2 packed dining rooms were testament to his skill , they were so very busy but he still took time to
Had an amazing menu of the day at this restaurant. The food was good value for money, fresh, tasty and exquisitely presented. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, explaining what the dishes were in English too. The location, building and atmosphere added to experience. Would thoroughly recommend.
This place is not so easy to find no ads, perhaps only local people know about. It is one of those advised us to go there and give us only the name of location. We find with GPS. The location is grate it is a old building, like a small castle, there is very nice old church near. Nice terraces you can take your place there, nature idyll. It was the day before the holiday the Day of the Three Kings and they have free places. For holiday they were already busy. Owners it is a family meet us and presented today menu and wine selection. Very pleasant people and good menu. For two of us we ordered local white wine, salad with warm goat cheese it was great, salad with tougue. Then onion soup excellent. And for second course veal cheeks with some local sauce.I tried for the first time and I really enjoyed. And pigs' feet it's just a culinary art . For dessert was a Catalan cream they cook with unusual spices very very good. Prices are very real and enjoyable. If you get the chance come here necessarily. It is very tasty, nicely atmospheric. Decent place and decent people. Thank them very much.
Dinar de colla +20). Primers a base de pica- pica. Varietat i quantitat.Segons a escollir.
