The Creek House Diner - Bethel

Great food, excellent service, very welcoming staff. We 're definitely coming back. The home made toast is not to be missed, I was very tempted to ask to buy a full loaf to take home. I want to compliment the staff for something I rarely see elsewhere. Someone brought in a service dog , had it up on furniture, and was feeding it bits of their breakfast. I 've been in many places where this kind of behavior would be ignored, even though it very much shouldn 't be. The staff appeared to politely ask about the dog 's training and why it was on the furniture, after which the customer left with the dog. I 'm grateful the restaurant did so, I know it can be worrying for staff. I know many people like to ignore basic rules around service dogs, but these behaviors place properly trained and handled service dogs at risk. When people bring dogs into restaurants and break basic hygiene rules, they make those places less likely to tolerate real service dogs and their handlers. When people bring poorly trained dogs into public spaces, they place trained service dogs at physical risks, too. Kid-friendliness: They have a shelf of kid friendly activities, just ask!

The food has greatly improved from 10 years ago or so. Only complaint I have now is that they don't reduce the price if you request no meat. $12-something is insanely overpriced for basic egg, cheese, onions, peppers burrito and home fries. Gotta say the home fries are excellent, some of the best I've ever had. But it should be $2-3 less. A simple change would have me coming back multiple times a week.

Really enjoyed breakfast! Healthy portions and tasty food, great service ...whats not to like? When you see so many coming and going..you knowits a great spot to eat!

Two of us came here during a busy moment. I will get the complaints out of the way first. There were two servers, people standing/sitting in the little entry area, and no indicator on how to get on a 'waitlist '. I talked to those waiting and asked, walked up to the counter thing, and was told it shouldn 't be long (I guess that means I 'm on the list? . We declined sitting at the counter. A few minutes later, one server said something to someone and I responded, and I guess I shouldn 't have. I was trying to be helpful. She got snippy with me. Fast forward a while, she ended up being our server. We got drinks after several minutes of waiting, we ordered after the people she sat after us, we got our food when they were nearly done eating. Things were much slower by the time we had our food, and at that point she came over and talked with us for a few minutes and seemed like a nice person. I get people have bad days, but when in the service industry, I feel it 's important to not take that out on the people you are serving. I left her a good tip. On to the food it was great! And decent portions. I was so hungry by the time the food arrived (we were there for nearly 50 minutes at this point that I did eat the entire main meal I had ordered and only left a few fries, which was challenging as the fries were really good I wanted to eat them all! We didn 't taste the ice cream, by that point we really had to leave. Overall, I think I upset her when she was possibly overwhelmed? while I was trying to be helpful. However, I can 't rate my service experience any higher than 3 stars because of what we experienced, and it only reached 3 stars because she eventually did let it go and talk to us like people near the end. Would I recommend eating here? Yes.

Food was delicious. All the employees were fantastic. We will be back for sure. 1.5 hours from our place in NH. Perfect motorcycle ride for tasty food.
