Laux Brickhouse Grille - Bethalto

Great spot! The patio area offers a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. I appreciate that it's pet-friendly. The food is quite tasty and reasonably priced. The Chef Salad is enormous!

I tried the steak special twice, and both times I was disappointed. The first time, they had run out. When I finally did get a steak, it was so tough that it was nearly inedible. The second time, I ordered it medium, but it came out bloody.

I had my first experience at this restaurant and I was very disappointed. I ordered takeout, and the Caesar salad contained a few wilted pieces of lettuce. The Philly steak was surprisingly bland, nearly flavorless, and from the appetizer platter, only the toasted ravioli were decent. The mini tacos consisted of just meat and tortillas, the cheese sticks had an odd taste, and the mushrooms were also somewhat unappetizing. I'm not sure how so many different dishes could turn out to be so dull and tasteless, but it felt like a waste of over $60. Honestly, Jack in the Box would have been a better option, and I’m not even a fan of fast food.

I came in for lunch today, and had Bobbi as my server she was absolutely amazing and so sweet! Will be back!

Unique and comfortable bar and grill, the food is delicious and wait staff are very friendly and fast.
