Uncle Sams Bbq - Bessemer

I had the BBQ chicken plate baked with potato salad beans! The sauce from this restaurant has kept me coming for more. I never really favored any other BBQ joint sauce, unlike me with Sam 's. It is not only the BBQ, but also the sauce they make with the baked beans. My hands down eating favorite thing here is the potato salad! My whole life I didn't like potato salad, but Sam's from the chain! It's made this yellow mustard like your typical kind. You just have to try! And what really seals the deal is her cake! It is literally the cherry at the end of a very good meal!

I don't know what's going on with their food but uncle Sam's has been my go to spot every Friday. I'm ending it today. Last 5 visits chicken and ribs were terrible. Overcooked, cold, and tasteless. They are drowned in sauce to make up for the bland taste. Meat is smoked over a pit but does not have a bit of smoke flavor. I always ask for sauce on the side so I can enjoy the flavor. The sauce didn't even compliment the meat today. Just awful!

Not boiled!!!! Real ribs. Tasty. Soul soothing. I fell in love. Don't know how much I spent but it was over 100 and bought some back to SC. Thanks for the love ?. Much love always. Keep up the great work ?

I gave 5 stars for the portion size, price, and that loaded bake potato!!!!! Im a full moon (ribs) kind of girl, the ribs were not bad it just taste like the ribs we do at home. The potato was so good, im going back for that potato. I had the weekend special with 2 ribs and 1/2 chicken white with a loaded potato for like $12.00. It also make sense to call in your order before you come, it is a busy place. Once you call in your order don't go through the drive thru, pull in a parking spot for call in orders and go wait at the door of the restaurant, some one will come get your payment and bring your food. So, this is my first time going to Uncle Sam's BBQ. I've heard so much about it over the course of the time that I've been living in Birmingham. I happened to be over on that side of town and decided to try them out. I wanted to give him four or five stars, but the barbecue ribs/chicken was just okay and the potato salad was mystifying to say the least. ?I never had any potato salad prepared like that. It was indeed new to me. Will I go back again? Yes! I would definitely go again and try something different! ?
