Osteria Del Sass - BESOZZO

We were looking for a decent lunch near Varese and found this Place on TripAdvisor. Then we had difficulties to find the Restaurant Really not easy. But we were rewarded with an outstanding culinary experience in a nice surrounding with a very charming landlord we is a real food passionate. All courses and the wines were explained in detail. And then in the end a coffee menu! Perfect

If you have the chance to visit Maggiore lake on the Lombardy site you have to try this restaurant! The location is really nice in an old building on the top of the hill of Besozzo. Dishes are sophisticated with a nice balance between tradition and innovation. The owner is a lovely person and the ratio between quality and price is really good (in Milano the price will be for sure more than double)

We were on a trip to Italy to find wines for our restaurant in Finland. Dropped by for lunch and the owners let us in even if they did not have officially lunch time. We got some wines with us from the nearby enoteca for tasting and they did not mind at all. Menu was modern and playfull approach to Italian 70s cuisine. Good techiques and very moderate price. Lovely service. This is what we love in Italy!
