フィードバックを提供するDon't be fooled by the website claims, which make it look like good quality and almost gourmet fast food: this place has the worst overpriced food. NOTHING here is freshly cooked, everything tastes like packaged food that has been heated up. And the hamburgers have...almost the same price of really good hamburger joints, but they are LOUSY. My veggie burger was one of those patties you can buy at the deep frozen section at the supermarket, the falafel were also bought packaged and warmed up in a microwave, sandy instead of gray and uneatable. When we complained to the staff they basically shrugged their shoulders in embarrassment, agreeing at our obvious complains. Even the cook didn't dare to defend the food, telling us to complain with the manager! So, unless you are drunk and starved STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE and save your money!
We had a classic burger and a crispy chicken burger. The buns were too soft and the beef wasn't very well-seasoned. The soup of the week we ordered was flavourful but not salty, and contained a lot of carrots and cucumbers in it. We had...a latte macchiato and a blueberry muffin, both of which were average. The muffin wasn't heated up even though we were having it here. However, the environment was really cosy. The food was generally inexpensive considering its good location near the East Side Gallery. Also, the waiters spoke English, so that's a plus point.
We visited on a Sunday evening and it was perfect for what we were after. The lady who served us was very kind and helpful when ordering, our food came pretty quickly as well. The food is great if you are craving a burger but...you want something that's healthier. I got the chicken burger and it was really good, the chicken was tender and was a little bit spicy which I liked. It is very reasonably priced and in an excellent location too.
So I made the grave mistake of visiting this place today and I thoroughly wish I could undo that. The place was messy and there was trash and leftovers on several tables from previous guests. We didn’t know whether to order at the counter or...if they had a waiter. Turns out they didn’t. And I hope you like outdated techno music played on a extremely cheap and blown-out speaker, because it was blasting throughout our visit. On to the food, which was a major disappointment. My co-eater went for the Veggie Berlin and was absolutely terrified when she got her food served. I’ve never seen anything like it. Frozen carrot-chunks and peas, heated up and crammed into a patty-shape, held together by probably just flour and tap water. It was un-eatable. Co-eater said It was reminiscent of baby food. Not to mention that they also messed up her order. The cheese burger was among the blandest tasting objects I’ve tried, they must have been out of seasoning... and cooking skills. Let’s just call it the Nickelback of burgers. Two lucky bystanders were looking in through the windows and gestured “thumbs up thumbs down” to us in hope to make a decision on food... we helped them along to ANY OTHER PLACE in Berlin. Last but not least, the customer service was borderline criminal. The only guy working there seemed both annoyed and bothered that we wanted to order food. My co-eater asked for cucumbers (as read on the menu with pictures of all the food on it) and when she asked me for the other word (pickles) he rudely interrupted and told us he knew what a cucumber was, and that he understood English. Should have left right then and there. Basically, star is as low as TripAdvisor offers, otherwise I’d give em a big fat zero. Worst f*cking meal of my life.
Not far from the East Side Gallery and across the street from tram, underground and S-Bahn. You go the counter at the end and order your food and drink, pay (cards are accepted-hooray are given a receipt number and around five minutes later your food and drink is...brought to your table. Everything we ate was delicious. We sat at a long table there are several in the place. Good atmosphere. Lots of backpacks. Mostly but not only a younger crowd (I'm Interesting burgers. I drank a chai latte (vanilla flavour) which was delicious.
