Defne Restaurant - Berlin

On a rainy cold night in Berlin we were looking for a nice restaurant for dinner with a 1 year old - we certainly found one. The food was great, the beer and wine excellent and the service perfect. We are going back again tonight! What better recommendation can I give than that.

At first I thought that the dish looked a bit dry with just meat and bulgur. But when you start eat and the meat is that juicy and perfectly grilled you don't need any tzatsiki or whatever. Even the bulgur was juicy and cooked to perfection!

A great Turkish restaurant that you should give a visit too. The service was great, despite getting caught in a mini-hurricane and all the outside diners having to be relocated around us they still managed to keep on top of things fairly well.The octopus dish comes highly recommended! (mixed grill is always a winner too..)

We took the U bahn to Kottbusser Tor and walked down the road to cross the canal. The restaurant is a couple of hundred metres pleasant canal side walk down the residential road which features old mansion blocks. It was a sunny May evening and all the tables outside were taken when we arrived but we were soon accommodated. We had a nice seafood salad to share as a starter. There is fresh fish on Fridays and Saturdays and my wife had a grilled sea bass while I took the Ali Nasir lamb and aubergine dish which was nice. There's draft beer and decent wine too. Worth booking as it's pretty popular. It's on open table app.

My vegan option of Imam Bayldi wasn't the best I've had, however the restaurant was lovely, service was quick and the mains ordered by my friends were apparently delicious.
