Café Schlemmer - Bentelo Nederland

Owfull, i asked to have dinner there and told me that the kitchen closed at 10 pm on fryday. When i get there with six people at 9,10 pm they told me the kitchen was closed. I claim for that and they answered that it depends. No simpathy, bad behaivor, won,t try back

I wanted to serve a coffee in the inner garden you are promoting outside ; no reservation; tables were empty and in front of me an old couple without reservation has beed taken to a table; the waiter was rude enough to tell me that is fully booked and after I say to him it will only take around 20 minutes to serve a coffee, he looked at me and said: if I think again.. I am not going to serve you . Shocking enough to give this place 1 star! This is something that should never happen in the hospitality industry.. you never know who is the client.. and since there was no obvious reason to reject me , I don’t understand this attitude

Good food, a nice and comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff (mostly). It is a classic venue in The Hague. I have been here 30 years ago, and it's still in the same place. That says enough. Places with staying power usually are worth checking out. I don't think this is friendly for people in wheelchairs, though. You have to go up some steps to the entrance, and for the restroom you have to go down some stairs. So please take note of that if you have mobility limitations.
