Cafe Roubaix - Bendigo

This place is a hidden treaure. Great hot chocolates and some very yummy cakes, the strawberry tart was delicious.

The home of super smooth hot chocolate – I defy you not to be wowed by the chocolate fountain – so silky.A great collection of pastas and focaccias, croissants and pastries.Has the advantage of being on a relatively quiet but beautiful Bendigo street too.Terrific staff.

As a coffee tragic and my requirement for an early morning starter this is my go to place. The girls are great, friendly and the early morning chat gets you off to a good start and the cakes and food aren't half bad either. Thanks Guys

Just off the main drag in the CBD, and well worth looking for. Great spot for breakfast or light meals, open from 7 for the early birds, till 4 M to F and 2 on S. Service counter centrepiece is a chocolate fountain, and chocolate features in signature dishes and beverages. On top of that, find a good selection of fresh tarts, frittatas and foccacias, turned out instore. Soup of the day with Turkish bread is a menu staple. And a selection of eye-catching small cakes. Small, neat and cheerful, with seating both inside and outside as well as take-away. On a chilly winter's day it was as busy as it deserves to be.

Drove around early hours in the morning trying to find an open cafe - which was very difficult in Bendigo :-(Fortunately came across this fantastic wee cafe - really friendly staff - very customer focused and helpful - really nice tasty food - cracking cup of coffee.Definitely recommend popping in here.
