The Wheel Inn - Belper

Empty apart from 3 regulars on a Saturday afternoon. Beer ok. Not the best but certainly drinkable. Not a great choice though if you're a real ale drinker. Decor looking tired although my elderly greyhound was very thankful for the carpet.

They’ve just started doing food. Ordered a cheesy chips. Homemade chips, absolutely perfect, on a level or even better than George’s tradition, 5*

Nice enough but find the parrot a bit of putting near the bar

Played pool there the other night. Timmy Taylor was great... along with the Jaipur and Bass. Well kept ales. Will enjoy the garden one day with the family. Thanks for the night. Lovely time

Large family dog friendly pub in Holbrook, Derbyshire. Superb secure lawned garden for kids and dogs. Huge covered patio area for al fresco drinks. Hired the function room for my 50th and had a great time. Indoor rooms great for winter as they have open real fires. Giving it 4 stars as it needs to improve with more choice of ales and craft beers to come anywhere near The Dead Poet which is only a few steps down the road.
