Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill

Our party of 15 was very satisfied, with our service, our waitress, and our food, I brought a cake for our easter celebration and the waitress took it for me and brought it out when we were ready for it. we had a nice visit with family and a relaxing time. Service was very good and our food came just at the right time as did the appetizers. We will definitely be going back here for future family get to gethers.

The first thing to mention is when we arrived on time for our reservation, the hostess appeared confused when I announced our confirmed reservation on open table. She didn’t even have a computer at her station. She said they don’t use open table. Our name was put on a hand written waiting list. We did get a table with a ten minute wait. The waitress was very friendly and took our order. We waited at least 20 minutes for our foid to arrive. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed for the near full capacity on a Saturday night. The food was mediocre at best and not very hot. I would not return to this location of Swiss Chalet.

The food was cold and we were told after an hour that there was no white meat for the chicken dinner and it would be another hour before we got our meals. We arrived at 6 and got served our dinner around 8.

Firstly, why is this place even on the Open Table App for reservations? Every time we reserve and show up, they never have our reservation and act like we have two heads. During our most recent visit on Friday we nearly froze to death. They sat us right next to the waiting area and every time the door opened, the minus 25 wind chill came in and froze us. My parents who are senior citizens had to eat with their winter coats on and were still cold. A good hostess would have recognized their age and placed us away from the immediate cold air. Our food was pretty good although it was slow in arriving and some meals were slightly warm at best. Our waitress was quite grumpy and we all noticed as she slammed our extra plates onto the table. She had to be reminded about drink refills as well. The only time she seemed pleasant was when we were paying. This Swiss Chalet has certainly taken a nose dive in quality. We’ve been coming here since it originally opened but our visits are becoming less frequent due to the poor service. It’s a shame because when the food and service are as we expect we really enjoy dining here.

Once again we had a long wait for our food. Our reservation was for 5:30 and we were on time, but didn't receive our food until almost 6:20. The restaurant was not that busy, so not sure why this happened. Used to be, food was served in 20 to 30 minutes, but now times are hit and miss. Not enough staff in the kitchen???
