フィードバックを提供するBellefontaine Dairy Queen offers outstanding customer service! When I stopped by to pick up a cake I had ordered the other night, I was thoroughly impressed.
I have ordered an Oreo Blizzard twice, and both times it has not been made correctly. In the past, a proper Blizzard would have been creamy vanilla ice cream blended to a gray color with Oreos mixed in. Unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience lately.
Chris Leasure really goes the extra mile as a co-owner of this Dairy Queen in Bellefontaine. We picked up our order today, and when we got home, we were pleasantly surprised...
The only issue I encountered at the Bellefontaine DQ was when I asked if they accepted a school football card that offered a buy-one-get-one-free deal on any size milkshake. They informed me that they weren’t on the list of participating locations. I could understand that if there was only one DQ, but the website didn’t clarify which locations accepted the card. Instead of simply giving my card back, a female employee used a permanent marker to cross out the deal on the back of the card. I found this to be extremely unprofessional, especially since the card was still valid and accepted at other locations. Now, the other locations won’t honor the deal because of the mark she made, rendering the card worthless. Be cautious if you have a football card for this DQ; don’t let them mark your offers permanently, as they’re not authorized to do so. If it’s a limited-time offer, they typically provide separate coupons instead of marking up the card. I was disappointed in the behavior of this employee and hope she learns from this experience to avoid causing unnecessary chaos in the future. Another reason I haven’t returned to the lake location is their slow service and the fact that their food isn’t as enjoyable as the Bellefontaine branch. For instance, they no longer provide the land engraving with the chicken strip basket, which they had done since opening. I was very disappointed and ended up tossing the toast because I used the engraving to dip it. On the other hand, if I order the strip basket at Bellefontaine, they won’t give you the toast anymore either. It seems they are cutting corners due to rising costs instead of adjusting their menu prices accordingly. It’s frustrating when you’re used to a certain product and discover missing items without being told they’ve been removed from the menu. It’s not about forgetting to include them in your order; they just don’t want to inform you of the changes. Regardless, they need to update their menus and communicate any changes that have occurred in their inventory. The lake location still serves Blizzards upside-down, but the Bellefontaine branch hasn’t done that in a long time. They claim it’s because they transfer them to trays, but the lake location consistently serves them individually and returns them to the tray so that you can see your Blizzard properly served. Their motto has always been to serve them upside down to ensure that you get what you paid for without it spilling out. I’ve started holding them accountable because they fail to uphold their motto. You never know which employees you will encounter at a particular location, as many people are reluctant to work these days, leading to the hiring of young, inexperienced staff who aren’t adequately trained. This creates a stressful environment that affects both employees and customers. I hope businesses will invest more time in training their staff so that operations can run more smoothly for everyone.
A large DQ with friendly staff and fast service! I'm here dozens of times and can't remember a bad experience. When a mistake is made, the employees are happy to reconcile the situation. The owners / managers do a wonderful work with quality, consistency and cleanliness, and it is obvious how busy this facility is usually. It seems everyone wants to visit this Dairy Queen!
