Great Friendly staff. My FIRST visit ever. I can't wait to go back!
Got our food super fast, tasty home fries, outdoor seating is very cozy, highly recommend this spot
I recently visited the Roadhouse Cafe for breakfast, and it was a delightful experience. Upon entering, we were promptly informed that we could sit at any open table, with menus already placed in holders on the tables. The menu itself was unique, featuring dishes that seemed to be personalized favorites turned into menu items. I opted for the number 7, which consisted of poached eggs on a piece of grilled cornbread with melted Swiss cheese, accompanied by corned beef hash and home fries. The hash was perfectly crispy, and every bite of the egg was complemented by a bit of the grilled cornbread. The wait staff appeared to operate on a shared system, where we received coffee from one server, placed our order with another, and had our food served by yet another. This system worked seamlessly. When we didn't receive our side of coffee cake, one of the servers immediately noticed and corrected it without hesitation. The coffee was fantastic, served in large, mismatched mugs—mine had a Santa design, while my wife's featured a lighthouse. The plates were similarly mismatched, adding to the cozy and homey feel of the place. I noticed other guests also had non-matching plates. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, further emphasized by an older couple chatting with what appeared to be the owner. It felt like they were old friends catching up. Overall, the Roadhouse Cafe provided a comfortable and inviting breakfast experience with great food and excellent service.
A wonderful little breakfast and lunch spot full of character and charisma. Every single thing on their menu is exactly what you're looking for. It has a mom&pop vibe with one exception. When you leave you always feel like part of the family. I've lived all over massachusetts throughout my life and no matter how far I move away I make it a point to come back here. Between their homemade bread, their impeccable service, and the love they put into their food, life isn't complete until you go to the roadhouse. This is easily the number one place I recommend over any other place to go while in Massachusetts.
