Cafe do Mercado ligt in Salvada op enkele tientallen kilometers van Beja. 's Morgens is er de versmarkt van het dorp daarna wordt alles opgeruimd en wordt plaatsgemaakt voor het restaurant voor de rest van dag. Het menu is eenvoudig met alleen de producten die eerder werden aangekocht. Wij aten Zonnevis op de grill (die altijd klaarstaat) met lekkere salade en een streekbiertje. Effenaf heerlijk!

The place is quite unique, outdoors but covered, and there are not many tables. The food is typical Portuguese. We had fish but the café do mercado is famous for its porco Preto, the black pig. We didn't have a long wait before the food arrived. Price was affordable and the service was nice.
