The Cake Shop Putnoe - Bedford

We used to enjoy visiting this restaurant on a weekly basis, but now we find it to be quite overpriced and the staff to be rude. Paying £10 for a jacket potato with cheese and beans is excessive, especially considering that the establishment is more of a cafe in a residential area rather than a high-end gastro pub. The staff's attitude was dismissive when we requested skimmed milk in our drink, making us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Additionally, there was confusion when ordering drinks and the staff seemed unorganized. As the cost of living rises, I believe this restaurant may struggle to stay competitive if they do not improve their service quality.

Chicken curry was delicious and tasty. Pav did a good job in making it taste like having your mums curry. As always good tasty food for the right price.

I feel really lucky to have this so close to me, what a beautiful little shop/cafe. Food is simply delicious. Prices I felt are reasonable for the quality of products. I've seen some negative reviews about prices but come on now, we all know what's happening in this country. I'd rather have this shop than not have it! I'm a big believer of supporting local independent businesses rather than your big chains! I hope the cake shop Putnoe keep up their good work, because ill certainly be coming back! The chocolate toothpaste is to die for hunni!!! xxx

I’m a regularly visitor at the cake shop and the food is always so good and value for money. The cakes are amazing.
