Old Bull Tavern - Beaufort

Absolutely phenomenal... I can't remember the last time when I went to a restaurant and everything, literally everything on the menu was amazing. We had the escargot, seveache, deviled eggs, pork belly buns and pizza... Everything tasted better than you can hope for. And the service was amazing our waitress was busy with so many tables yet she made sure she was constantly taking care of us. Truly one of the best dining experiences we've had in weeks... And that's after having eaten all over Hilton Head.

Loved it. Ate deviled eggs, bao buns, and the astounding Corned Beef/brisket. Super creative menu. Mike and Phil at the bar make a great drink. Will be back for sure.

I’ll do a quick food review but I’m really here to mention the disgusting cockroach. Food was bland, got watermelon arugula feta salad and the steak. Watermelon was mealy and tasteless, feta was pretty non existent, arugula was good. Steak had a heavy char taste and chewy in the middle, I ordered it medium, but came out super bloody and runny which I don’t really mind as long as it’s cooked the right way) you can tell they just threw it on the flame super high and flash cooked the outside which leaves steak with that rubbery grey ring around the outside and a raw inside. They cut the steak in the back, probably didn’t even let it rest cause the whole plate was a juicy bloody mess when it got to me. Whoever cooked this steak needs to enroll in culinary school. I don’t even think they salted the steak at all or the hospital style mashed potatoes) steak tasted like I put a piece of charcoal in my mouth. I’m SO surprised about all the good reviews. I ate almost all my food despite the taste) until I saw a cockroach crawling around on the table !!!!! I wasn’t even going to leave a review until I saw this disgusting thing with its antenna waving around crawling around on the coffee table in the front where the couch is I sat there cause I was alone and it was a PACKED house) after I took this picture with the flash on the cockroach scurried into the crevice of the table. I’m SOOO disgusted and would have finished my 2 slices of steak if I didn’t see that. After I saw that I closed out as fast as I could and got the heck out of there. I showed the picture of the roach to the hostess because they should know that a customer saw that. I’m sure they all know the place has roaches). It’s just so disgusting this place was horrible. Bartenders and hostess were very nice though.

Wow, An Amazing place to eat and drink. Every bite that I took was melt in your mouth. I had the Corn Beef w/Cabbage and Mashed potatoes. OMG The best I’ve ever had. And the pineapple upside down cake was to Die for. A great place to eat and drink. You will not be disappointed.
