Tasty homemade style food. I had a smothered pork chop and it was great! The staff was also very friendly.

I made a quick decision yesterday let me tell ya...ok so while I was riding down Business 146 (N. Alexander) after stopping by Club Deja Vu to see what it looked like since I haven't been there yet..I got hungry and I wanted to eat something fresh and good for me because I have a wedding to attend July 11, 2014..and I'm wanting to drop a few pounds so I can increase my hangtime on the wedding reception dance floor right...and that's when a bright light cut on in my head and so as I made a quick U-turn in the Subway parking lot all that I was on my mind was to go to the Sav-Fer Da Flavor restaurant next to Arts Barbershop and get a salad..and that decision is one of the best decisions I've ever made in life...no disrespect to the Sav-Fer Da Flavor Seafood Pasta dish...but I will be back on that #28 July 12th

This is an outstanding restaurant! The owners went above and beyond to accommodate us, even dancing and having a wonderful time. They were incredibly friendly. The boudin was delicious, and the gumbo was out of this world! I would rate it a 15/10 and would definitely return if we find ourselves back in the Houston area! Thank you!

Something in my mind urged me to turn around when I found myself at a café called "This and This." I'm glad I did because the owners, a man and woman, welcomed me so warmly, it felt like family. I ordered the smashed pork chops with greens and candied yams, and it was an excellent choice. I could easily go back tonight, especially since they also have gummy bears!
