フィードバックを提供するThis is a great choice - I have visited with three different groups of friends and every time the food and service has been excellent. Worth a try - and if you are a wuss like me - there are delicious not so spicy options - ask your waiter for recommendations - they know their stuff! I will be back! Thanks Chik and Kent.
It is hard to find a place open on Monday evenings in Perth... Chik and Kent wasn't our first choice but it did look appealing from outside. It is decorated with taste and it looks modern. I work closeby and have always wanted to stop in so it was the perfect occasion. The waitress was nice but not really well groomed. But that's not much of a problem really... The atmosphere could be nicer if the music wasn't tuned on a radio station... The person in charge, whom I am unsure if it was the owner or the manager, was not very welcoming. A smile seems to be optional at Chik and Kent... Anyway... It got worse when the food turned up. I had a taste of the goat curry which was very nice. The calamaris were lovely too. However, the samossas were really dry, and my main dish, the pork belly, was awfully dried out and overcooked. Pretty much the opposite you expect from a pork belly dish. It is true that it is not meant to be a slow cooked version of the dish but still... After hesitating a while, we let the manager know. He just grabbed my plate without asking my opinion, nor apologizing... My dish was changed, less dry but still not really edible... The overall feel is not that great. It surely isn't that difficult to think things through a little more... Push it further. Decor is fine but change the music.., it sets the ambiance! And a smile and a welcoming attitude can make people forget about a bad dish that can occasionally happen... But in this case, I think it's very poor service and no, I would not recommend anyone to go.
Great service and nice atmosphere. My 'Punjabi Goat' dish and the garlic Nanna works well together - delicious ???????? 'Amrut' whiskey made the evening cosy!!
Comfortable chairs, the restaurant caters for large crowds and has a well stocked bar. The service was good but the food was a little overpriced for the portion size. If you order the flambe, make sure you are well away from the meal before they prepare it in front of you, otherwise you will certainly get splattered with hot burning oil.
I've eaten here two days in a row and the food has been very good. I had the bacon / salmon avocado smash and coffee. Staff have been friendly. I am staying just down the road so will be back again. Price is ok, it is Perth.
