The food and the atmosphere here are worth 10 stars. The staff is very friendly. I have recommended this place to all my family, why go out of town for dinner when there is a little jewel like this in downtown Battle Creek! My wife and I love it absolutely.
This is the very best southern/soul food place I’ve been to in Michigan! Everything is home made by a husband and wife team, and it is all the real deal!! If you love southern cooking it’s a must for you!
Four of us dined at Rafaynee's and enjoyed a variety of dishes, including jambalaya, gumbo, and a chicken dinner. Everyone loved their meals, and we found the prices and portion sizes to be just right. For dessert, we indulged in the excellent peach cobbler and pecan pie. This was our second visit, and this time we brought another couple along, all of whom were equally impressed. Rafaynee's is truly one of Battle Creek's best-kept secrets. We highly recommend it for dinner!
The food was fantastic! However, the atmosphere felt a bit cold. The unsweetened tea had a wonderful flavor! I enjoyed a large pulled pork sandwich with Southern greens. The meatloaf, unfortunately, was not impressive. I’ll definitely come back to try the roasted chicken next time; it smelled amazing!
