The Hideaway - Bassetlaw

We stopped by for lunch and were pleased to find that the food was freshly cooked. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara, which was filled with plenty of chicken and bacon and was very tasty. My husband opted for the spaghetti bolognese, which looked so good that I had to try it myself. I was not disappointed. The restaurant had a lovely setting and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Popped in here the other morning with a friend for a very quick coffee and something to eat, had two large coffees and two bacon rolls, lots of quality bacon and brown sauce, really nice friendly lady served us who appeared to be on her own in the cafe. Lovely food and service, the biggest surprise was the bill, we would have struggled to buy the ingredients for what we paid. Highly recommended will be going again to try some of the other items on the menu.

I visited this restaurant on Saturday with my family and we all had the breakfast. It included tea, toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes, all for only £5.50. This is definitely the best breakfast in Retford. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The drinks are also cheap, especially if you visit in the evening. I come here on a weekly basis and would give it a rating of 5 stars.

I recently visited The Hideaway with some friends and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and portion sizes were generous. The background music added to the ambiance without being too loud to have a conversation. The staff was friendly and eager to please. I would definitely go back and will be recommending this place to others.
