The Garden Room - Baslow

To start, we enjoyed the prawn cocktail, which was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh (even if it is reminiscent of the 70s!). The spiced carrot soup was equally delightful, smooth, and flavorful. The bread served with both starters was light and fluffy. For our mains, we had the ox cheek, the fish of the day, and the Sunday sirloin roast. All were absolutely delicious, and the accompanying vegetables were equally tasty. The sticky toffee pudding was a standout dessert! They serve the toffee sauce on the side, allowing you to choose how much you’d like. The sponge itself was soft and flavorful, and when combined with the sauce and ice cream, it was pure joy! Overall, the service, the venue, and the food were exceptional and well-suited for a special occasion. I found the overall experience to be quite reasonable for the quality provided. I also learned that during the summer, there is a lovely terrace that offers beautiful views of the rolling hills and sheep. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning soon!

Beautiful afternoon spent in the garden room with sisters for a 60th birthday. the young man who looked at us made our afternoon, he was very attentive and had a nice feeling of humor. highly recommended

This afternoon tee here as birthday gardens. the personal was so friendly and attentive that we were not rushed at all. restaurant beautiful with a picturesque view. afternoon most beautifully presented, delicious sandwiches and cakes with cake hot tee . we have cleared the decks! thank you cavendish .

Excellent afternoon tea. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I think the staff member we dealt with was called Poppy. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again
