Jordan Lobster Farms - Barnum Island

Generally I love this place. I've been going for years. However they've definitely lost a step or two. Flies and knats nonstop.

I went to Jordan's yesterday. I received a email and a text stating that lobsters were $9.99 to 1 lb 1/4 lb for 1. I have been going to Jordan's for over 20 years. Now with the false advertisement when you arrive there they're not $9.99. they're actually $13. So the host at the door tries to explain to me that the $3 were for the extra quarter pound. I CONSIDER THAT FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. After 20 years of going there. I would pay the $9.99, totaling $29.97 plus tax for 1 1/4 lb. I'm just saying call in advance. I was very disappointed in Jordan's Lobster. I will not be driving way out there before calling in advance. P.S. I believe there's new owners, because the original owner would have never done that.

Dined at Jordan's last Saturday night. We each ordered the lobster dinner. The lobsters were delicious . However, the corn on the cob and cole slaw left a lot to be desired. The corn was small and old with brown spots and the cole slaw was tasteless. Our waitress was a nice young girl with a pretty smile and she was accommodating. On the way out, I bought some Snapper from the store portion of the restaurant... We fried it at home and it was excellent.

I had the chance to visit this place in July and I enjoyed it very much. Food was extremely fresh and delicious. I only had seafood but will visit again and will sample more items from the menu. I had the oysters and a 1.5 lb lobster. Oysters were extremely fresh with a nice cocktail sauce and delicious lemons. Tasty, tasty. Makes me want to go again just thinking about them while writing this. Lobster came with fries and delicious sweet corn on the cob. They have a nice outdoor area in the summer to enjoy the food with some fresh air. I highly recommend this place. Service was excellent as well. No hard liquor for those interested in that but they do have beer and wine selections. My party of 4 also enjoyed pasta, fried fish and a hamburger and all were extremely happy with their choices. Family friendly which could become a family tradition easily.

Phenomenal food with a nice view of the canal while eating. Everything is super fresh and made to order. The best lobster bisque anywhere around!
