Spice Carriage - Barnet

I'm extremely disappointed by not only the food but the service I've received here tonight. Not only did my order turn up with the most ridiculously tiny pieces of Chicken in it but when I called to speak about it I was told I was WRONG and that I am lying! I had to argue to even get the manager on the phone and when I did, he told me his chefs had told him I was wrong. The food I did eat was greasy, overcooked and bland. All the curries I ordered were padded out with onion or lentils to avoid having to put any chicken in it. We ordered three meals and all three were the same colour, same flavour and just..nothing. SO disappointing!! Trust me. I've been a loyal customer here and believe me, I've noticed the standards have slipped! However, after tonight I'm going to go elsewhere because not only is that NOT the way to handle a complaint but you can't serve mountains of sauce with tiny pieces of chicken in it and expect people not to feel hard done by. I'd seriously suggest you go elsewhere for your food. Barnet has LOADS of curry houses especially on that strip so DONT settle for this place. Head down the hill and look to your right go there!!

This is really curry at its best in Barnet. Go for okra and ask them to spice it right up gives any meal a great lift. Extra garlic lentil Dahl is something I always ask them to make and it's always fab. Friendly service. Thoroughly recommend. Good choice for takeaway also.

Decent Indian restaurant in Barnet, serves tasty food. Good value and service with a smile. There's plenty of competition for Indian restaurants in Barnet but this is currently my favourite.

Ate here on a Saturday evening over the bank holiday weekend; there was no one else dining when we arrived at gone 9 in the evening which I usually take as a bad sign however it would appear that we set a trend as more customers began arriving soon after. Extensive menu and very reasonably priced; service for a small establishment is fairly average and could be a lot quicker as they clearly didn't have many customers to serve!

I've not been to this restaurant, but I have had several takeaways (well, deliveries) from it and they have been very good indeed. Food arrives piping hot and delicious, and most importantly exactly as ordered. I'm looking forward to ordering from them again very soon, especially as it is National Curry Week at the moment!
