Mainely Meat Barbeque - Bar Harbor

Excellent food, fantastic beer, and plenty of attentive service. I'm already looking forward to returning next year. You really can't beat the BBQ buffet for $15!

We stopped here after playing mini-golf at Pirate's Cove with our granddaughter. I have to say that the ribs and pulled pork were amazing. We've been to some fantastic rib places in Memphis and Texas, but eating here was just as good, and the prices were fantastic. A half rack of ribs with beans, coleslaw, and potato salad was only $11.92. If I had known the food would be this delicious, I would have ordered the full rack! The service was great, especially considering the young lady was the only one working. We will definitely be coming back!

When our food finally arrived, my sandwich had over a quarter of it made up of fat—it was quite unappetizing. The combination of poor service and disappointing food has led us to decide not to return. My advice? Save your money and seek out some local cuisine elsewhere—perhaps some delicious lobster!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in harbor bar. I expected to eat incredible seafood throughout the trip, but was very disappointed that the selection at red lobster was more impressive than many of the restaurants we visited. on the last day, however, we found mainely meat and I was transported immediately to meat utopia. the pulled boar and the ribs were brilliant! I've never had anything better! all over the place was eating the staff and eating out. I can't expect to come back.

It's heavily seasoned, dry rub barbecue, so it won't be to everyone's taste. But the meats are long smoked and incredibly tender, the place draws a great crowd, the staff is very eager to please, the price is right and the beer is fabulous!
