Lava lounge cafe - Bankstown

The food was so disappionting. The tagine that was suppose to be the star of the show turned out be some stale sauce poured over chicken. The rest was mediocre lebanese food. This place is over priced. Worst food ever. Please don't go here, go to Jasmine instead.

My wife and I had to go to Bankstown for an appointment, whilst we where there we decided to have lunch at the Tajeen Exotic Arabia on West terrace, very well appointed restaurant and exceptionally clean the food was exceptional we had the mixed mezze plate and the Yogurt was terrific, Garlic prawns with spices was to die for we then had the Royal Tajeen for two Beef Cheecks, Lamb Shoulder,Chicken all with spiceed Veges and Cuscus the price was very good, and we will indeed be back

We've been going to Tajeen for while now. Very nice place with very nice staff. The Shisha is awesome and u have to try the cookie and cream double waffle :).It's a very relaxed place, so don't go there if you are in a rush. Just sit back and relax and enjoy.

The young, dynamic owner met us on entry and added a burst of personal character to the experience. Then the food. The mezze platters were to die for, generous, fresh and authentic. Just when we thought it couldn't get better, the mains arrived. I wanted to marry the paella, fresh seafood, each bite cooked to perfections, spicy, tasty, yummy. The chicken tajeen was an explosion of flavours and spices, complex and intriguing. The ribs where inhaled by my son who stated they were 'the best ever' and my son-in-laws scotch fillet was cooked to perfection. The deserts (yes, the quality of the food made us want to sample) home made ricotta and fresh figs, poached spiced pears, ice cream - heaven on a plate. The restaurant offers an area where you can sample arguily and the young people all had delicious looking chocolate drinks but we didn't indulge. We were all on the verge of exploding and collapsed into a food coma at home but the night was brilliant, the staff were amazing and amusing (especially the young owner Sadek who was the most personable host I have ever met). Although it is an hours travel from my home, it is now first on my regular list. Thanks guys.
