The atmosphere was so chilled. Love coming here . See you all soon.
Unfriendly owner, dreadful atmosphere and awful food! One of the worst experiences ever do not waste your time or money.
What a beautiful evening with beautiful food and an amazing view. Recommend breaded monkfish. We were served by friendly staff.
As stated in many previous reviews of this restaurant the setting overlooking the ocean is spectacular and on a beautiful day like our visit the outside seating was a very attractive option, however there the strong positives end. I ordered seafood chowder on the recommendation of the owner who stated that the restaurant was famous for its chowder ! I must agree with a previous review in that it was a bowl of near tasteless hot creamy liquid with a meagre smattering of fish, a few small cubed vegetables, two minute muscles and a solitary prawn, it certainly wasn't worthy of the stated hype nor anywhere near worth the €10.50 tariff. My partner ordered the vegetable bhaji which she found very dry and badly required the bland cauliflower humus it was served with, which had no disenable taste of neither garlic nor lemon. For main I ordered the monkfish scampi which to be fair was very well cooked considering it is not the easiest of fish to get right, and the side salad included some onion and pickled cucumber which gave it a nice lift. My partner ordered Prawn and courgette noodle which due to the description she assumed would be spiralised courgette as a noodle, however it turned out in fact to be noodles with courgette and some spiralised carrot , the result of which was a bit same same on the palate throughout the whole dish. For dessert my partner opted for the brownie which to be fair she found to be pleasant enough whilst my panna cotta was set enough to bounce off a wall and not break apart. It was texturally like a very thick set jelly, unpleasant on the palate and lacking in flavour. It deserved to be sent back (I've sent back better) however by the time I'd tasted it and my partner tasted it and we'd decided it was awful, it was more than half gone. When I informed the lady (which I believe to be the owner) of such she was not in any way interested in my comment nor thereafter our table. To be fair she may have looked at the empty plate and just dismissed me out of hand, however the chef that sent it over the pass certainly never tasted nor tested this dish. Finally the service, which I have stated in many reviews is a vital component of a dining experience was barely adequate, food was delivered with no more finesse nor interaction than Deliveroo, and was what I assume to be untrained family members. we certainly felt that after our negative comments the restaurant no longer had even this meagre interest in our table, yet when the bill arrived it stated that the servers appreciate any tips given !!! I was severely annoyed on receipt of a de facto begging letter included in the bill to influence the giving of a tip ! When I get service beyond the norm I tip, on this occasion I didn't. I felt that I had been charged quite enough for mediocre food to enable the restaurant to properly pay their servers without the cheek to pressurise for additional undeserved money. On leaving the table we thanked the people behind the bar, comments which were barely acknowledged ! I won't be back
