Maiwand Grill - Baltimore

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Baltimore, the food is beyond excellent. I drive half an hour each way just to pick it up!

Flew into Baltimore for a gaming convention in Virginia. Took light rail downtown to gaming spot with friends and my friends recommend Maiwand Grill which was right next door. I believe I had some sort of lamb, rice and veggie platter with various sauces. Meal cost about $15 and was pretty good. Will go there again if I'm ever in B'more again.

Excellent value! When I last visited, I skipped breakfast and lunch, yet as a larger person, I still found myself taking my time to enjoy the combo meal. For just $16, I got a combo kebab meal that included two delicious kebabs, sides of kabooli rice, naan, and a salad. Everything was cooked to perfection!

I had never tried Afghan food before, so I can’t speak to its authenticity, but I found it quite enjoyable. I ordered the chicken skewers while my companion opted for the shrimp skewers. Both dishes were generous in portion size and came with flavorful long-grain rice, a fresh green salad, and two pieces of naan. It was a very satisfying meal! The service was prompt and friendly, and the prices were reasonable.
